Saw the lovely oncologist last week and he says I'm clear, yay yay and doesn't want to see me for 3 months. I did a happy dance down the hospital corridor aided by a delightful volunteer - thanks for helping me celebrate. It's weird after the initial excitement, knowing that I cant go out yet, and whilst I'm so happy with the result obviously I'm champing at the bit to get back to normal (or my normal anyway).
So to occupy myself I've been looking around hoping that something would grab my attention. This old painting has been on my mind on and off for a while now and the last time I hooked it out I couldn't pick up a brush and paint over it. Well this time I have, I started just with the border hoping that I could save at least part of the centre of the painting but it was wonky to begin with and trying to keep the good bits was not really feasible - so here it is at the whiteover stage - now of course I have to wait for it to dry. Waiting always waiting :) . Ill post as I go along, it should be interesting to see what transpires cos there's quite a lot of texture in the middle that'll have to be balanced.
