Thought you might like to see some studio shots, I'm lucky that I now have a decent sized studio with lots of natural light. I don't have an easel, but use a plastic table or an old computer casing and the rest of the time I work on the floor.

This is the space that I worked in when I lived in Malaysia, as you can see I had to wedge myself in between the bed and the cupboard, which of course is why I appreciate what I now have to work in

Here's the latest hot off the floor (I don't have an easel) ha ha.

A good friend and very talented digi artist produced the artwork which is shown here - she calls it the Falling series,. I think it's really cool so after seeing it I decided to paint an abstract version which we both liked so now I'll paint the rest of the series as well.

Just finished the final swipes on this wip - I say swipes cos I've been using a credit card as well as brushes.

There are around 40 glazes on here.As with a lot of my paintings I can really see my surroundings here and am really really pleased with this. I hope you enjoy it as well. Welcome to the re-vamped blog. I must say I absolutely love the new look, really crisp and clear. So I would like to say a very big thanks to my long suffering partner. A man who has zen written in his bones.He is still working on various aspects, but I'm assured that it'll be finished soon. If you have any comments I would love to hear them

Hi everyone, hope you've all had a really fun New Year and are raring to go. After a couple of blips - a dog bite to the face followed by a lovely visit from bronchitis I'm finally back in the studio - hurray, I'm so much better tempered when I can just paint. So here are the first 3 WIPS for the New Year. I'm using some different colours, thought it was time to try new a palette and so far I'm liking it

Here's another in the Curved air series. It's a small 40 by 30cms canvas. The colours remind me of summer cocktails and the fizz of sherbert on my tongue

On another note - I've been scribbling away recently and here's one of the pencil and charcoal drawings:

So, it's 10 pm on a Saturday night and I've just finished the third in this series. I always like to hang a new painting in the sitting room as soon as I think I've finished and just chill out with a glass of wine and just look for a while. Anyway I realised that these three paintings when set amongst the others are so light in colour and mood that if I hadn't painted them myself I would think that they were by different artists, and on that note I'm off for another glass and some dinner, ciao for now.

Another acrylic and charcoal painting - this one is a square format, something that I rarely use, but I'm thinking of getting some more squares as I really like the way they lend themselves to the paintings in my head at the moment. Another thing that I'm enjoying (apart from the weather here) is the change in palette with the last two paintings - still exploring colour and I think next time I renew my supplies I will buy a few surprise colours and see what I can do with them.
